Luwall Studios makes apps. This page says what Norrsken does with information about you. In short: our apps keep what you give them on your own phone, and nothing about you is kept on a server of ours.

Who we are

Luwall Studios is the name under which Luwall AB, a Swedish company, publishes its apps. Luwall AB is the controller of the personal data described here.

What Norrsken is

Norrsken is an Android app of live wallpapers: calm Swedish scenes that move slowly on your home screen, with snow, rain, northern lights and other effects you can add.

What it stores on your phone

• The wallpaper you chose, and the effects you set on each scene
• The version number of an update you said no to, so it is not offered again

None of it is about you, and it stays on your phone, apart from Android's own backup (see Backup).

What it sends, and to whom

Nothing. Norrsken has no server and fetches nothing from the internet. The app itself sends nothing about you to anyone.

Tips

You can give the developer a tip, through Google Play. A tip unlocks nothing - everything in the app is free. The app uses Google Play Billing, a library from Google, to talk to the Play Store app on your phone; Google handles that under its own privacy policy. The app saves nothing about a tip. The library comes with Google's own components that may connect to the internet; the app never calls them.

Updates

When you open the app, it asks the Play Store app on your phone whether a newer version of Norrsken exists, using Google Play's in-app updates, a library from Google. Google handles that check under its own privacy policy: Google says it uses information about your phone and the app's installed version only to decide whether there is an update, and does not share it. The app itself sends nothing. An important update has to be installed before the app can be used again; if you say no to an ordinary one, the app keeps that version number and does not ask again.

Backup

If backup is on in your phone's settings, Android copies the wallpaper you chose and its effects to your Google account and can restore them on a new phone. Google keeps the backup under its own privacy policy; we cannot see it. You can turn backup off, or delete it, in your phone's and your Google account's settings.

Deleting your data

Clear the app's data in Android's settings, or uninstall the app, and everything it stored on your phone is gone. A backup is deleted in your Google account. From Norrsken we hold nothing else about you, except the order record if you gave a tip.

Permissions

All our apps

• No accounts. You never sign up or log in.
• No analytics, advertising or tracking. We do not use your advertising ID, build profiles, or sell or share data for advertising.
• Nothing kept on our server. What an app stores is kept in its private storage on your phone, which other apps cannot read. Our one server only checks purchases of subscriptions (below), and keeps nothing.
• Encrypted connections. When an app fetches data from a service, it uses HTTPS.

If you email us

When you write to studio [at] luwall [dot] com, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to answer you, and delete the conversation at the latest two years after the last message. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

If you buy something

Purchases, such as a subscription, are made through Google Play. Google handles the payment under its own privacy policy, and we never see your card or bank details. Google gives us a record of each order - such as the order number, date, product, price and country - which we keep as long as Swedish accounting law (bokföringslagen) requires, currently seven years. Legal basis: our legal obligation to keep accounts (Art. 6(1)(c)).

When a subscription is checked

When you buy a subscription in one of our apps, the app asks our server at luwall.com whether the purchase is real before it unlocks what you paid for. This stops fake purchases, which some tools can make an app believe in. If you never buy a subscription, nothing is checked and nothing is sent.

• When: right after you buy, then at most about twice a day while you subscribe.
• What the app sends: the purchase's token from Google Play, the app's package name and the product's ID, a random number used only once, and a Play Integrity token - Google's sealed verdict that the request comes from the genuine app, installed from Google Play, on a genuine device. No name, no account, no device ID.
• What luwall.com does: it asks Google - through the Google Play Developer API and the Play Integrity API - whether the purchase is real and still active, and answers the app with a signed yes or no. The app keeps that answer on your phone.
• What is kept: nothing on our side - no database, and our code logs nothing about the request. Our host, Vercel, logs each request to the server with your IP address and the address it called (not what was sent), and keeps that log for a limited time under its own policy.
• Who receives it: Vercel, which hosts luwall.com and runs the check in its Stockholm region, and Google, which already handles the payment. Vercel is a US company; a transfer to the USA is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Vercel is certified.

Legal basis: giving you what you paid for (Art. 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interest in stopping fake purchases (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, stop using it, or hand it over in a format you can take elsewhere. Most of your data never reaches us: it is on your phone, and deleting it there removes it. For anything we do hold (emails, order records), write to studio [at] luwall [dot] com. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.

Changes

When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.

Luwall Studios gör appar. Här står vad Norrsken gör med uppgifter om dig. Kort sagt: våra appar sparar det du ger dem på din egen telefon, och inget om dig sparas på någon server hos oss.

Vilka vi är

Luwall Studios är namnet som Luwall AB, ett svenskt bolag, ger ut sina appar under. Luwall AB är personuppgiftsansvarig för de personuppgifter som beskrivs här.

Vad Norrsken är

Norrsken är en Android-app med levande bakgrundsbilder: lugna svenska landskap som rör sig långsamt på din hemskärm, med snö, regn, norrsken och andra effekter som du kan lägga till.

Vad appen sparar på din telefon

• Den bakgrundsbild du har valt, och de effekter du har ställt in för varje landskap
• Versionsnumret på en uppdatering du har sagt nej till, så att den inte erbjuds igen

Inget av det handlar om dig, och det stannar på din telefon, utom i Androids egen säkerhetskopia (se Säkerhetskopia).

Vad appen skickar, och till vem

Ingenting. Norrsken har ingen server och hämtar inget från internet. Appen själv skickar ingenting om dig till någon.

Dricks

Du kan ge utvecklaren dricks, via Google Play. Dricks låser inte upp något - allt i appen är gratis. Appen använder Google Play Billing, ett bibliotek från Google, för att prata med Play Butik-appen på din telefon; Google hanterar det enligt sin egen integritetspolicy. Appen sparar inget om en dricks. Biblioteket har med sig Googles egna komponenter som kan ansluta till internet; appen anropar dem aldrig.

Uppdateringar

När du öppnar appen frågar den Play Butik-appen på din telefon om det finns en nyare version av Norrsken, med Google Plays uppdateringar i appen, ett bibliotek från Google. Google hanterar den frågan enligt sin egen integritetspolicy: Google uppger att uppgifterna om din telefon och appens installerade version används bara för att avgöra om det finns en uppdatering, och inte delas. Appen själv skickar ingenting. En viktig uppdatering måste installeras innan appen kan användas igen; om du säger nej till en vanlig sparar appen versionsnumret och frågar inte igen.

Säkerhetskopia

Om säkerhetskopiering är på i telefonens inställningar kopierar Android den bakgrundsbild du har valt och dess effekter till ditt Google-konto och kan återställa dem på en ny telefon. Google förvarar kopian enligt sin egen integritetspolicy; vi kan inte se den. Du kan stänga av säkerhetskopieringen, eller radera den, i telefonens och Google-kontots inställningar.

Radera dina uppgifter

Rensa appens data i Androids inställningar, eller avinstallera appen, så är allt den har sparat på din telefon borta. En säkerhetskopia raderas i ditt Google-konto. Från Norrsken har vi inget annat om dig, utom orderuppgiften om du har gett dricks.

Behörigheter

Alla våra appar

• Inga konton. Du registrerar dig aldrig och loggar aldrig in.
• Ingen analys, reklam eller spårning. Vi använder inte ditt annons-id, bygger inga profiler och säljer eller delar inga uppgifter för reklam.
• Inget sparas på vår server. Det en app sparar ligger i appens privata lagring på din telefon, som andra appar inte kan läsa. Vår enda server kontrollerar bara köp av prenumerationer (nedan), och sparar ingenting.
• Krypterade anslutningar. När en app hämtar data från en tjänst använder den HTTPS.

Om du mejlar oss

När du skriver till studio [at] luwall [dot] com får vi din e-postadress och ditt meddelande. Vi använder dem bara för att svara dig och raderar konversationen senast två år efter det sista meddelandet. Rättslig grund: vårt berättigade intresse av att svara dig (GDPR art. 6.1 f).

Om du köper något

Köp, till exempel en prenumeration, görs via Google Play. Google sköter betalningen enligt sin egen integritetspolicy, och vi ser aldrig dina kort- eller bankuppgifter. Google ger oss en uppgift om varje order - till exempel ordernummer, datum, produkt, pris och land - som vi sparar så länge bokföringslagen kräver, i dag sju år. Rättslig grund: vår rättsliga förpliktelse att föra bok (art. 6.1 c).

När en prenumeration kontrolleras

När du köper en prenumeration i någon av våra appar frågar appen vår server på luwall.com om köpet är äkta, innan den låser upp det du har betalat för. Det stoppar falska köp, som vissa verktyg kan lura en app att tro på. Köper du aldrig någon prenumeration kontrolleras ingenting och inget skickas.

• När: direkt efter köpet, och sedan högst ungefär två gånger om dygnet så länge du prenumererar.
• Vad appen skickar: köpets token från Google Play, appens paketnamn och produktens id, ett slumptal som bara används en gång, och en Play Integrity-token - Googles förseglade intyg om att frågan kommer från den äkta appen, installerad från Google Play, på en äkta telefon. Inget namn, inget konto, inget enhets-id.
• Vad luwall.com gör: frågar Google - via Google Play Developer API och Play Integrity API - om köpet är äkta och fortfarande gäller, och svarar appen med ett signerat ja eller nej. Appen sparar svaret på din telefon.
• Vad som sparas: ingenting hos oss - ingen databas, och vår kod loggar inget om frågan. Vår webbvärd Vercel loggar varje anrop till servern med din IP-adress och adressen som anropades (inte det som skickades), och sparar loggen en begränsad tid enligt sin egen policy.
• Vilka som får uppgifterna: Vercel, som driver luwall.com och kör kontrollen i sin region i Stockholm, och Google, som redan sköter betalningen. Vercel är ett amerikanskt bolag; en överföring till USA omfattas av EU:s och USA:s ramverk för dataskydd (Data Privacy Framework), som Vercel är certifierat enligt.

Rättslig grund: att ge dig det du har betalat för (art. 6.1 b), och vårt berättigade intresse av att stoppa falska köp (art. 6.1 f).

Dina rättigheter

Enligt GDPR kan du be oss om en kopia av de personuppgifter vi har om dig, och be oss rätta dem, radera dem, begränsa hur vi använder dem, sluta använda dem eller lämna ut dem i ett format du kan ta med dig. Det mesta av dina uppgifter når aldrig oss: de ligger på din telefon, och tar du bort dem där är de borta. För det vi har (mejl, orderuppgifter), skriv till studio [at] luwall [dot] com. Du kan också klaga hos Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), imy.se.
