What's new in Avgångar

The changes you would notice, week by week, newest at the top.

Week of 5 October 2026

  • Plus is bought through Google Play and turns on once the purchase is confirmed.
  • If Plus ends, one stop stays live and nothing is deleted. The others wait under Väntar på Plus, Byt till swaps which one is live, and a widget on a waiting stop says so.
  • With Plus, the departures page can show how many stops away a train or bus is, and the distance, where live positions exist.
  • A departure's second line rolls to its end and back once when it is cut off, and again when you tap the row.
  • Dina widgetar shows every widget you have, drawn as it looks, with the home screen app it sits on. Tap one to open its settings.
  • Large text no longer clips or breaks words in settings, the stop list, the stop search and a widget's settings.
  • A busy stop no longer shows Inga avgångar when SL answers with nothing for a moment. Avgångar asks once more.

Week of 28 September 2026

  • Come back within three minutes and Avgångar opens where you left it, with the stop list at the same place.
  • Försök igen shows when a stop fails to load, and clearing a filter with its × can be undone with Ångra. The stop list keeps its place when you open a stop and come back.
  • The stop list wears the widget's blue head, and each stop ends in symbols for what runs there: the metro's T, trains, trams, boats and buses. A departure's second line starts with its own symbol.
  • The filter's icon is a funnel, and the pill shows the lines you chose as their own badges.
  • A widget's settings show the widget itself, live, above the chips. Unfolded, it sits beside them.
  • The widget limit counts the widgets on the home screen you use now, not ones left behind on another launcher.
  • A new app icon: a bus on a stop sign in an amber frame, in a dusk landscape.
  • Öppna appen på shows a small picture of what it opens, and the picture changes smoothly when you pick another choice.

Week of 21 September 2026

  • Every SL line wears its colour: commuter trains, trams and boats filled, buses as a ring - blue for Blåbuss, red for the rest.
  • The widget moves its countdown on by itself, about once a minute, while the screen is on. It fetches fresh departures when the screen comes on, not while the phone is dark.
  • A widget whose departures are over 30 minutes old says when it was updated, Uppdaterad 19:31, and says Inga sparade avgångar when the saved ones have run out.
  • A widget no longer shows a departure cut in half at its bottom edge.
  • The filter sheet no longer bounces on its own when you scroll it at a big stop such as Slussen.
  • Widgets no longer freeze on an old time after the app is updated.
  • Every stop in Sweden is there: search finds them by name with the busiest at the top, and departures and the filter work at each one.
  • Västtrafik's lines wear Västtrafik's own signs, by day and by night.
  • At a stop with more than one company, a row of chips - Alla, Västtrafik, SJ and more - keeps just one company's departures, in the app and in a widget.
  • Tap Visa hållplatser nära dig in the stop search and Nära dig lists the five nearest stops within 10 km. Your position is never stored or sent.
  • Lägg en widget på hemskärmen adds a widget from the app, and Visa det här på hemskärmen under a stop's filter adds one born with that stop and filter.
  • Inställningar is redrawn: Appen and Plus, each with a small picture of what it changes, and links to Integritetspolicy and Villkor.
  • The stop page has a Filtrera pill. With a filter on, it shows the filter in colour with an × to clear it.
  • When SL's service is busy, the app and the widget say Tjänsten är upptagen instead of Ingen anslutning, after asking again a few times.
  • Plus adds more stops and more widgets, and one stop is included without it.

Week of 14 September 2026

  • Choose your stop from all of SL's stops: search by name, with or without å, ä and ö. Each widget keeps its own stop.
  • Avgångar is an app as well as a widget: a list of your stops, and a page of departures for each, in light and dark.
  • In the app, metro lines wear SL's colours, and a departure under five minutes turns amber.
  • Filter a stop by mode, line and direction, so the list shows just what you ride.
  • Each widget has a filter of its own, set in the widget's settings when you add it or later from its menu.
  • The filter lists lines by number, grouped by mode and direction, and looks a day ahead, so a line that is not running now can still be picked. Linjenummer finds a line by its number.
  • Star your favourite stops. They sit at the top of the stop list under Favoriter and in the widget's stop picker, and Ångra undoes a star.
  • Tap the widget and a spinner shows that it is fetching.
  • Inställningar has Öppna appen på: the stop list, the latest stop or any favourite.
  • The widget wears a blue band, and its line numbers and amber countdown match the app.
  • A taller widget shows more departures, and it redraws as you resize it.
  • Fold or unfold the phone and the app stays where it was, a typed search included.

Week of 7 September 2026

  • Avgångar is a home-screen widget that shows live departures from SL in Stockholm.
  • Each departure shows its line, where it is heading and the minutes left.
  • Tap the widget to fetch new departures.
  • The widget follows the phone when it folds or unfolds.
